Branding a Medical Practice Under Pressure
Some projects arrive with plenty of runway. This one did not.
When a double board-certified OB/GYN and pelvic surgeon came to us, she had already signed the lease on her new space and renovation was underway. She was ready to open the first medical spa of its kind in her market — bringing non-surgical, research-based solutions for women's pelvic health and aesthetics to a community that had never had access to them before.
What she didn't have yet was a name. Or a logo. Or a website. Or any digital presence at all.
And she needed all of it — fast.
When the building is ready before the brand
It's more common than you'd think. A physician makes the leap into entrepreneurship, secures the space, and then realizes the brand work that typically runs parallel to construction has been left for last. The instinct is to move quickly on everything at once, which is exactly what this engagement required.
We came in as a full-service brand and launch partner and got to work immediately across every workstream at once.
Starting with the name
Before anything else could be built, the practice needed a name — one that would work in her specific market, resonate with the patients she was trying to reach, and carry the business for the long term. We led structured naming workshops with the physician, moving efficiently from exploration to decision without sacrificing the intentionality that good naming requires.
Once the name was locked, everything else could flow from it.
Building the brand and the business simultaneously
With a name in place, we developed a complete brand identity: logo, color palette, typography, and narrative positioning. Everything was designed to feel warm, credible, and distinctly different from the large, impersonal health systems her patients were used to.
At the same time, we project managed and built the full website — architected to communicate her unique clinical expertise, showcase the services she was bringing to the market for the first time, and make it easy for prospective patients to understand what made this practice different and how to book.
We also built out the full digital footprint: Google Business Profile, Instagram, Facebook, and social media and newsletter templates her team could use to maintain a consistent presence long after launch.
Delivered under pressure, built to last
The timeline was tight. We met it. And the infrastructure we built wasn't just good enough for launch — it was designed to support the practice's growth well beyond opening day.
The Google Business Profile now holds a 4.87 average rating across 71 reviews. The practice has grown to 1,300+ Instagram followers and 1,100+ Facebook followers. And a community that previously had no access to non-surgical pelvic health and aesthetic care now does.
We still support the practice with website updates and troubleshooting as needed — because a launch is a beginning, not an ending.
